After completing an undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Dr. Keehn developed an interest in research. He worked as a research coordinator at the University of Wisconsin Medical School for four years prior to his medical training. After obtaining his medical degree from Des Moines University in 2000, Dr. Keehn completed a residency in anesthesiology at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics. An interest in pain management took Dr. Keehn to the University of Colorado, where he completed his fellowship training in 2005. An active educator, Dr. Keehn is involved in teaching resident physicians, as well as healthcare providers in the community, about pain management. While Dr. Keehn treats a broad spectrum of pain problems, his specific clinical interests include cutting-edge interventional techniques for the treatment of back pain and migraine headaches.
