Karen Wayda, MPAS PA-C
Karen Wayda, a native of Merrill, Wisconsin, completed the surgical technology program at Northcentral Technical College in Wausau, Wisconsin, and was employed as a surgical technologist at the Good Samaritan Healthcare Center in Merrill for 12 years as well as HealthSouth Surgery Center in Wausau, WI. Karen received her bachelor's degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and her masters from the University of Nebraska in Omaha. For more than 14 years, she worked as a physician assistant specializing in gastrointestinal care, spending time at both Gastrointestinal Associates in Wausau and Dean & St. Marys Outpatient Center in Madison. She also worked at Aspirus Urgent Care for 1.5 years in Wausau, WI. Karen's move to pain management stems from her desire to help improve the lives of people with pain and to ensure those people have access to optimal care. "I'm pleased to be part of a team whose focus is to help ease suffering of chronic pain."
