Lumbar Interlaminar Epidural Injections in Managing Chronic Low Back and Lower Extremity Pain: A Systematic Review

This review takes a comprehensive, systematic review of the available literature to assess the efficacy of this common procedure used to treat the pain associated with lumbar radiculopathy. Utilizing a primary outcome measure of pain relief (short term <6 months, long term >6 months), the review finds transforaminal lumbar epidural steroid injections to have strong evidence to support their efficacy.
