Pre-Authorization Specialist-Corporate
Advanced Pain Management is looking for an experienced Pre-Authorization Specialist with at least 1 year of experience with the insurance authorization process, preferably in an outpatient/clinic setting.
Responsibilities will include:
- Efficently obtain all authorizations for procedures to be performed prior to patients being scheduled.
- Notify scheduling staff of delays in obtaining these authorizations.
- Inform director and managers on any changes or patterns they are seeing in denials of procedures.
- Accept, handle, and process incoming patient telephone inquiries using appropriate customer service skills, clarify and validate patient inquiries, questions or complaints and correct and update patient account information in the computer system.
- Handle and process incoming patient correspondence. Correct or resolve issue, if possible.
- Provides clear explanations of appropriate patient-related policies.
- Maintains patient confidentiality in accordance with established policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Desirable Candidates will possess:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year related experience.
- Knowledge of medical insurance and terminology.
- Ability to multi-task and perform multiple priorities.
- Must be detailed orientated with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Patient Scheduler-Corporate
Advanced Pain Management is looking for an experienced Medical Scheduler with at least 3-5 years of patient scheduling experience.
Responsibilities will include:
- Answer and respond to new patient calls and voicemails within 24 hours.
- Computerized scheduling of patient appointments.
- Obtain/verify all patient demographic information from patient and enter information into computer system.
- Enter referring physician information into patient account.
- Give patients appropriate instructions for procedures, such as what they need to bring with them to the appointment i.e. films, reports, ID and insurance cards).
- Schedules appointments through NextGen Practice Management System.
- Documents the clinical aspect of the New Patient appointment through the Electronic Medical Record.
- Distributes confirmation and welcome letters.
- Applies appropriate customer service skills and uses positive, proactive communications when dealing with patients in person or on the telephone.
- Demonstrates patience, compassion, kindness, and empathy.
- Provides clear explanations of appropriate patient-related policies.
- Maintains patient confidentiality in accordance with established policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Administrative Assistant-Accounting
Advanced Pain Management is looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant to support their Accounting Department at their Corporate Offices located in Greenfield. The Administrative Assistant will assist the accounting department in areas such as matching, batching and coding invoices; data entry and maintaining spreadsheets; opening and distributing corporate office mail; and filing.
Essential Duties Include:
- Uses Microsoft Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) to prepare a variety of report, correspondence and miscellaneous tasks from rough drafts or reports, ensuring on- time, accurate documents.
- Complies, summarizes and records information, to include numeric calculations, ensuring accurate up-to-date information.
- Assists with mail distribution.
- Answers incoming telephone calls, directing to the correct person, addressing and resolving caller needs, or taking detailed messages; greets and directs visitors as needed; answers correspondence, phone and electronic mail concerning procedures or inquiries on the processing of payments by responding verbally or in writing; contacts vendors as necessary; obtains information from various departments or outside organizations to maintain accurate accounts.
- Generates monthly financial reports from accounting software and distributes to departments and department heads as needed.
- Maintains and updates records of financial transactions’ posts payments received to appropriate accounts, completes forms and logs to create records of such transactions.
- Prepares journal entries for approval by supervisor; checks and verifies such documents as invoices purchase orders and contacts vendors to correct errors.
- Balances and reconciles checks received and credit card statements.
- Types or keys in data from forms, correspondence, reports and other documents.
- Maintains manuals my deleting or adding appropriate materials.
- Maintains and updates files for payment documents, invoices and correspondence for easy retrieval; gathers and collates records as requested to compile information; locates files or reports as requested by supervisor or others’ processes, photocopies, and files documents and records as required for recordkeeping; purges files and records according to established procedures.
- Monitors office supplies inventory, reordering supplies, forms, stationary, etc. as needed according to procurement procedures.
- Completes and maintains all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
- Completes special projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in a Business related field, preferred.
- 1-3 years progressively responsible experience.
- Strong experience with MS Office.
- Knowledge of automated accounting systems.

Microsoft SQL Server Developer
Advanced Pain Management is looking for an experienced Microsoft SQL Server Developer. The Microsoft SQL Server Developer will be working with the development team, IT Support, and end users to provide technical and operation support activities of Microsoft SQL Server databases.
Essential Functions Include:
- Review and optimize all existing Transact-SQL code and lead new database development.
- Resolve incidents and problems working with other developers, IT Support, and end users to resolve the problem.
- Transact-SQL development. Writes stored procedures, triggers, and Transact-SQL code for application support, reporting and analytics purposes.
- Performs SQL query performance analysis and tuning on a regular basis.
- Develop technical procedures and associated documentation to improve existing processes and implement new ones.
- Create and maintain documentation for new and current custom development in SQL Server databases.
- If applicable, provides project supervision and ensures quality and timeliness of others' deliverables.
- Design and implement user-driven templates, databases and interfaces for ease of use.
- Support and maintain data and database systems to meet business delivery specifications and needs.
- Provide database support, design solutions for, develop reports from, and develop templates for the NextGen EHR/EPM database.
Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field, required.
- Experience in the Healthcare field to include general understanding of clinical terminology, billing.
- Strong design, development and implementation experience with Microsoft database technologies (i.e. to include business intelligence technologies as well, like Reporting Services, Analysis Services, and Integration Services).
- Microsoft SQL Server database and Template Development experience in the NextGen EPM and EHR systems.
- Five to fifteen years related experience, preferred.
- Extensive experience in writing and optimizing Transact-SQL code and stored procedures.

Director of Business Development
Advanced Pain Management is looking for an experienced Director of Business Development. The Director of Business Development is responsible for providing strategy support and service to APM. This position supports strategic and service line planning efforts, business development activities and physician engagement strategies. This role is responsible for directing key analysis and support for regional and National strategic initiatives, including growth of key service lines, master facility and capital planning as well as physician engagement activities.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for providing leadership, staff development and the management of the Business Development Team.
- Supports strategic planning and service line strategic planning processes to assure furtherance of APM’s mission and values and organizational goals.
- Works with APM leadership in the identification and evaluation of business development opportunities.
- Provides support for Strategic Financial Planning Process including preparation for Strategic Planning Reviews, coordination of capital business plans and master facility planning. Guides the national process of review and prioritization of the capital and master facility plans.
- Works in conjunction with APM leadership in the design, development and implementation of strategic planning tools, resources and analysis. Will ensure that quality and timely analysis is completed, consistent with APM practices and policies.
- On a confidential basis supports the development and evaluation of Strategic Growth Initiatives including new site and same site growth strategies.
- Provides information and analysis regarding national demographic trends, health care utilization, health care financing (payor) data, and new service delivery models to determine opportunities for improved performance and market position.
Desirable Candidates will possess the following qualifications:
- Masters or Bachelors Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration or related field required.
- Minimum of 8 years experience in market analysis, facilitating strategic planning and business development.
- Must have experience in analysis of financial and market data including demographics, utilization statistics, and financial reports.

Network Administrator
Advanced Pain Management is looking for an experienced Network Administrator. The Network Administrator, Under general direction, designs, supports, maintains and evaluates computer networking and telecommunication systems; installs, configures, and maintains both physical and virtual computer servers; maintains all telecom equipment and systems, and maintains all networking hardware and systems.
Essential Duties Include:
- Under minimal supervision, maintain and troubleshoot LAN/WAN operations.
- Manage hardware, software and services vendor relationships.
- Manage contracts/license agreements.
- Install, configure and maintain routers, switches and other networking equipment.
- Review, setup and maintain security of network devices.
- Maintain firewall and review log files periodically.
- Manage system to acceptable performance levels and troubleshoot system performance issues.
- Manage server hardware, both physical and virtual equipment.
- Install, maintain and perform regular maintenance on EqualLogic SANs.
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, server operating systems and all related systems or software.
- Maintain day-to-day functionality of the LAN/WAN.
- Utilize incident management tools to track all relevant support items.
- Design systems that are fault tolerant and cost effective.
- Assist in best practice methods of infrastructure management to maximize uptime.
- Work with outside agencies for installation and/or vendor problem resolution.
- Manage purchasing and delivery of equipment from multiple vendors.
